The Project aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions of industry in the Republic of Macedonia to by accelerating the transformation of the local market for industrial energy efficiency (IEE) by addressing many of the existing barriers, in particular through strengthening policy, regulatory and institutional frameworks for IEE and supporting increased diffusion of and investment in best available industrial energy efficiency practices and technologies.
As part of the project Viktorija Sazdova - T&P consultant should successfully attend the Project EnMS Expert Capacity Building and Implementation Programme and assist 1 partner enterprise - Strumica Public enterprise in implementing an energy management system (EnMS) in line with ISO 50001. In the process of implementation the Consultant is expected to provide the energy efficiency expertise, skills, experience and technical support required to assist the assigned enterprise in the implementation of an energy management system in line with ISO 50001 and following the UNIDO methodology.
The implementation is done under the technical supervision of the UNIDO international IEE-EnMS experts, who will provide guidance, hold periodic webinars and conference calls with the Consultant and assigned enterprise’s EnMS team to review progress, discuss and provide inputs, and expert advice on how to address possible problems.
The activities for implementation of EnMS are as follows:
- Analysis of current energy consumption in the enterprise
- Development of energy policy
- Development of energy baseline
- Identification of Significant energy users
- Identification of opportunities for improvement |

As part of the project Jasmina Trajkovski - T&P consultant should successfully attend the Project EnMS Expert Capacity Building and Implementation Programme and assist 1 partner enterprise - Makstil in implementing an energy management system (EnMS) in line with ISO 50001. Implementation of Energy Management Systems according ISO 50001 |
Design and implementation of Energy Management System (EnMS) in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 50001:2011. The implementation was conducted through 8(eight) working meetings on the following subjects:
- introduction to EnMS and define methodology
- review of national legal and other requirements and development of energy profile
- develop energy policy, indicator and energy baseline
- define processes and procedures in the organization related with EnMS
- finalization of the procedures and review of the prepared documentation
- employee training
- internal review of the system |

Training on: “Basics of Energy management system according to ISO 50001”, October 2012, with CeProSard |
The training incorporated the current trends in Energy management systems (all types). The meaning of the topic and the process for achieving the energy objectives and requirements which are internationally accepted, they prescribe collective global approach and appropriate individual (on organization and company level) action plan. The global approach is defined with the new published international standard ISO 50001 Energy management system. In Macedonia the standard is accepted in the beginning of 2012under the name MK ISO 50001:2012.
The training presented the process, pre-requisites and the achieved effects of the Energy management system through concrete examples. |
